Tank of Corpses

With a name like Tank of Corpses, how can you go wrong? I’m surprised the idea of a haunted med school cadaver tank hasn’t been used more often in horror comics, or even horror films. There was a mildly entertaining attempt with the Horrorfest ’06 entry UNREST, but in the end it just didn’t quite deliver enough cinematic chills as it could have. Leave it to a 55 year old comic book story to show them how it’s done.

From the April 1952 issue of Witches Tales #9

The Golden Arm appeared on a few of those kiddie horror albums. For those who didn't know, there are a few blogs out there where you can download almost all of these albums.

I know they have multiple versions of The Golden Arm, but can't find them all now. Here is one you can download:

There are a lot more albums on that site, and here are a couple of other sites:

  4. Thanks for the info... I'm very aware of The Golden Arm story too and actually still have the Troll Records release album Great Ghost Stories from the early 70's containing it. We used to listen to it all the time at sleep overs and scare ourselves shitless.

I still love Disney's Chilling Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House record too.
