Yesterday we escaped TO death with Basil Wolverton, today we escape FROM it with underrated Atlas artist Manny Stallman. And hey, don’t let that fiery splash page fool you, this definitely is not a Human Torch tale! (FYI: This post is actually a request granted exclusively to Monster Blog’s John Kaminski. Enjoy JK!)

HA HA .......AT FIRST I DID THINK THIS WAS A TORCH STORY, GLAD YOU MENTIONED OTHERWISE OR I MIGHT HAVE JUST SKIPPED IT SINCE I'M NOT REALLY INTO THE HERO STUFF
ReplyDelete>I'M NOT REALLY INTO THE HERO STUFF
ReplyDeleteWell you can rest assured I will NOT be posting super hero stuff here, at least not unless it's something really horrific... but not horrific in the Rob Liefeld sense
to me the art is mixed, the flaming guy looks great but the fat guy looks too phoney and out of place with the rest of the characters
ReplyDeletestill not a bad story, doesnt really go anyhere but its pretty fun
Lovely! I'd been looking for this story...
ReplyDeleteI like it. The artwork is nice, and who can't love a flaming guy? Reminds me a bit of the Indestructible Man/Man Made Monster films.
I like how Mr Diamond was put into is mortuary coffin in a suit and resurrected in a speedo. I also love how he went on a rampage of robbery yet nobody could track him down to his hideout. How many almost naked electric fire spitting men who look exactly like executed killers can there be?
