Continuing where we left off yesterday with even more televised evil, this story comes from the same Weird Chills issue as the Clumsy post from Nov 2nd. I should probably just spotlight this entire issue one of these days because every tale is great--- sinister parrots, the boogey man. Well, maybe not the parrot story...
From the Nov. 1954 issue of Weird Chills #3
I double-dog dare you to turn on your TV.. I love the TV terror comics. Never knew the idiot box had so much power....
ReplyDeleteDave B.
THIS STORY HAS A NICE FRENTIC PACE AND FEEL, AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO YOUR POST FROM YESTERDAY BUT ITS GOT IT'S OWN DEMENTED TWIST.

ReplyDeleteAtlas vs Marvel designation....
ReplyDeleteI know that Atlas was a precursor to Marvel. Some references refer to Atlas titles as Marvel titles.
Does anyone has more info (or point me to) about the distiction between the two and when Atlas starting being called Marvel all time (was in the early 60's when Spiderman came out?).
>Does anyone has more info
ReplyDeleteSearch "Atlas Comics" on Wikipedia, it's pretty thorough in explaining everything, or here:

I didn't realize you'd posted this. Man, no wonder this was the last issue.
ReplyDeleteLittle late, but I really like this story. The Hughes art is great. Any TV terror stories you haven't posted yet, Karswell? Because I'd like to see another.
