Welcome to October! This our favorite month of course with the countdown to Halloween beginning today---31 days to go! So, jumping back into Harvey terrority now after someone mentioned The Blob the other day, I remembered this icky quickie from the October 1952 issue of Tomb of Terror #5 …and don’t forget your barf bag!
artwork is interesting here.....the final panel is disturbing to see his bones through whats left of his muscle tissue its like hes naked which makes it even more weird
ReplyDeleteHE LOOKS NAKED BECAUSE THE SLIME ATE HIS CLOTHES!!!!
ReplyDeleteI JUST SAW THE BLOB REMAKE RECENTLY AND THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT, ACTUALLY BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL WHICH I NEVER THOUGHT POSSIBLE
Yeah, the 80's Blob remake is a good film (for a remake) which is always a tough feat when the original version is so good.
ReplyDeleteGreat.nice way to start october, love the color-hold technique for the slime, and the transformation of Dane from a likeable con to a power hungry lunatic.i also agree about the BLOB remake,it ranks with JOHN CARPENTER'S THE THING,HOUSE OF WAX('53),THE MUMMY(Hammer),NOSFERATU THE VAMPYRE as one of the few good or superior remakes, unlike THE HAUNTING('99)HOUSE OF WAX('03)and NOT REALLY MARY SHELLEY'S FRANKENSTEIN('94).
ReplyDeleteDid anyone see the Halloween remake? I hate pretty much every movie Rob Zombie has made so far...
ReplyDeleteMy friends loved the new Halloween but I thought it was terrible. I don't like any of Zombie's other films either, or his music for that matter.
ReplyDeletePoor maligned bloodhounds, one of the gentlest, least aggressive breeds ever, at the receiving end of endless canards because of its name :-/
