Sticking with the theme of re-animated corpses from our last post, here’s a real dandy courtesy of Comic Media’s March 1953 issue of Horrific #4, asking one simple little question: After death, how far could you go to quench your unstoppable hate fueled vengeance?
Obviously all the way…
I gotta say, that would be a great way to go. I would love to be fueled back to animation by my deep hatred of something bigger, like those ads that use periods after every word. Like they're so clever!
ReplyDeleteTrue, he even wrote a song about it called Brain Eaters. Wait, who are we talking about again?
ReplyDeleteYou are the single coolest person on the internet for putting up something from Horrific!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm just 16 and I can only get my hands on EC reprints so all this other pre-code horror thought I missed out on is like the holy grail for me
The big splashes are differently, most people took the EC tightly packed panels, it's not often you see some larger panels. That, or that had to fill some page count and didn't have enough story for it!
ReplyDeleteGCD says this is Don Perlin. It'd be really early Perlin, so I guess it's possible, but I don't see it.
I love how happy the corpse is on the initial splash!
