Also that panel in which one of the monsters proudly displays the skeletal corpses of Renzi's wife and daughter is hauntingly disgusting--in a good way. It's pretty obvious that the first page and a half of this story was mined directly from somebody's screening of The Third Man (1949); and I, much like this story's author (I imagine), would have loved to seen Carol Reed's movie evolved from mistaken-identity espionage thriller into sheer C.H.U.D.s-in-the-sewer horror.

Excellent work from Drazen, too! Look, 1950s comic artists, skeletons are held together by tissue; remove the tissue and skeletons fall apart.

Yes, you saw a skeleton in biology class but that had pins in it, OK? Yeesh :)

Joking aside, this is a great piece of grisly comic fun. It's a bit light, a bit silly, and leaving the heads but reducing the last part to skeletons (in mere moments, mind you!) is a fun, gory visual.Brian Barneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15737535617796413548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-43804756755205935092016-12-05T09:46:59.226-06:002016-12-05T09:46:59.226-06:00Those are some of the best alien interjections sin...Those are some of the best alien interjections since "Spa Fon!" and "Squa Tront!"Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-71859077470541916972016-12-05T09:12:36.386-06:002016-12-05T09:12:36.386-06:00PLUS!
