However, what happened after Miss Allbright paid Jethroe's dad a visit I didn't see coming at all. Nice ending. Loved the art, too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-62498392945640285512008-10-31T09:26:00.000-05:002008-10-31T09:26:00.000-05:00I DIDNT THINK THIS ONE WAS STUPID AT ALL, LOVED EV...I DIDNT THINK THIS ONE WAS STUPID AT ALL, LOVED EVERY PANEL AND WORD OF IT, CAMERON WAS SOOOOO GOOD. NOT SURE WHY SHE WAS SO SCARED ALL THE TIME IF SHE WAS ACTUALLY A VAMPIRE BUT OH WELL SHES AN OLD LADY AND PRESERVATION OF HER SPECIES IS PROBABLY HARD AT THAT AGE. MY ONLY OTHER QUESTION IS WHY THE KID IN THE SPACE CADET COSTUME IS HOLDING A FRANKENSTEIN MASK IN THE LAST PANEL?????Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-89190434927800836822008-10-31T08:53:00.000-05:002008-10-31T08:53:00.000-05:00Damn, those Ventrue are a territorial lot, aren't ...Damn, those Ventrue are a territorial lot, aren't they?Emby Quinnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03235461374975312786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-6300935884984647712008-10-31T08:49:00.000-05:002008-10-31T08:49:00.000-05:00As stupid as this story is, Cameron's art elevates...As stupid as this story is, Cameron's art elevates the hell outta it. The fourth panel on page two is incredible. Not only is it well drawn and evocative, but Lou also came up with an imaginative way to add a sense of movement to a static drawing of a violent act with that breaking picket fence (assuming the writer didn't describe the panel this way, which I feel pretty safe in doing). Lou was probably making $20.00 a page for this story in 1953, yet he put more thought into his work than most funnybook artists today who make twenty times that. You have renewed my appreciation for Lou Cameron!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-6671371705285885222008-10-31T03:30:00.000-05:002008-10-31T03:30:00.000-05:00Miss Allbright is a real looker! You're a vampire, too?" narrative. as it's been discussed here before, that idea got used a lot. still, there were so many creepy panels, especially the one where vampire boy whispers in her ear. say, what happened to him anyway...?

Miss Allbright must have been vampirized when she was already a dotty old lady, because she still acts like one!Prof. Grewbeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16132543249418576650noreply@blogger.com
