I really like Powell's horror stuff better than his war stories done for Atlas' and Harvey's various war titles. His people always looked a bit deformed to me, as though seen reflected in a carnival mirror - perfectly suited to the horror genre.Mykal Bantahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12148489896145024134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-62987171844822345262010-11-13T17:02:45.487-06:002010-11-13T17:02:45.487-06:00AWESOME ENDINGS ON BOTH BUT THE HARVY STORY IS REA...AWESOME ENDINGS ON BOTH BUT THE HARVY STORY IS REALLY OVER THE TOP I LOVE IT!! Where was this, my home town?

And, in "The Choir Master," although the schmucks und yenta who turned their schnozzes up at the man they owed so much to may not have deserved to die for their ingratitude, the stunning ending is a fit and proper reminder that, one, none of us should ever forget where we came from, and, two, that not one of us ever makes it on our own.

Even his dishonor, the late mayor, would perhaps now agree.....Turok1952https://www.blogger.com/profile/16343648514226004142noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-34328659909689792112010-11-13T00:21:04.995-06:002010-11-13T00:21:04.995-06:00Great endings - for the stories, that is.Great endings - for the stories, that is.Diandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08847794175731233884noreply@blogger.com
