I looked at the art and imagined how it would look if Fox would have inked it. Would he have liked the last panel on page three?
I wonder if Stan Lee was unsatisfied with Woromay's inking?
If so, inspired solution. They were an amazing art duo.
I'm looking forward to all the other Atlas october stories.
nutsilica.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08816159328601948660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-47965358913609148912018-10-05T18:19:05.824-05:002018-10-05T18:19:05.824-05:00Awesome tale. Not familiar with the artist, but he's great!
I think the last panel (minus the gorilla!) is an EC swipe, from the notorious 'Foul Play'?
I'm stoked for Atlas October - this is my Christmas. ;)Guy Callawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02237807931893298891noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-12295175529792283132018-10-04T22:34:48.350-05:002018-10-04T22:34:48.350-05:00Since there's a schism I guess I'd better ...Since there's a schism I guess I'd better pick a side. I myself absolutely love the every single thing about page two, starting with the animated amble through the nighttime countryside and including the yellow fire-lit panels with the witch. Woromay is always a wonder, but look at all the different brush sizes he's employed here! I'd normally say this is a visual no no (akin to using more than three fonts on a single page, for example), but the man can seemingly make anything work. The last panel on page three is a great example (and a surreal beauty in its own right).

Man, Atlas October is going to be a blast!
Mr. Cavinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01634994342702518448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-2543053202037490342018-10-04T16:56:51.064-05:002018-10-04T16:56:51.064-05:00Great tale of greed leading to The Duke's dest...Great tale of greed leading to The Duke's destruction.

Thanks for the four pages of hooror fun, Karswell.

JMR777https://www.blogger.com/profile/03538238702295526065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-49769238323699409782018-10-04T13:35:54.845-05:002018-10-04T13:35:54.845-05:00The title sounds like it's riffing on the bibl...The title sounds like it's riffing on the biblical witch of Endor, who famously brings back the spirit of the prophet Samuel to give a prediction to King Saul (1 Samuel 28).Nequamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17225401111413524858noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-85819139758654817662018-10-04T11:48:25.588-05:002018-10-04T11:48:25.588-05:00This comment has been removed by the author.Mestierehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07469030153414408109noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-52187319006603759192018-10-04T11:10:06.066-05:002018-10-04T11:10:06.066-05:00October! "Arrggggg!" Thank you Mr. K.. Enjoy your month. Woromay does another fantastic job, but the colorist, ah, all the yellow was a mistake. I get the concept, but the art deserved better.

I liked the 4 panels at the top of page 2, that's really cinematic.

Some of these Atlas tells manage to have endings that are both horror and funny, which is a really hard thing to pull off. This is one of those.Brian Barneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15737535617796413548noreply@blogger.com
