We saw the deficiencies in our error reporting mechanism and tried to address that earlier this year with a web-based tracking system. The intention is that it should be a much more open process, allowing anyone to see error reports at an time along with their current status. Hopefully it will also lessen the nmber of things that fall through the cracks.

http://errors.comics.org/Ralf Haringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01242375724298792087noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-35797010034014463202009-08-17T07:04:41.024-05:002009-08-17T07:04:41.024-05:00I liked it.I liked it.Corpse Paradehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16381398908021102253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-86287946601811121332009-08-17T00:37:15.957-05:002009-08-17T00:37:15.957-05:00Things I never thought I'd hear:

And it's all Krigstein art, by the way. He worked in different styles, after all, and occasionally would adopt a quicker, easier inking style when needed. For instance, check out his "87th Precinct" work for Dell's Four Color Comics #1309.Tamfoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08007519945208611127noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-51883995102318332292009-08-15T13:30:16.388-05:002009-08-15T13:30:16.388-05:00Well I'm glad to see that I'm not the only...Well I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who disagrees with the Toth credit, I don't see it either. This is 1954, and Toth's pencils and inks were pretty refined by then. The inking that isn't Krigstein is definitely in the Milt Caniff school, though. Could be any number of people, just not Toth, and not someone with a strong enough inking style to obliterate the pencils.

By the way, there is no Krigstein checklist in either Fantagraphics volume.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-3554519223922820742009-08-15T10:08:50.513-05:002009-08-15T10:08:50.513-05:00My theory is that the story was penciled by Krigst...My theory is that the story was penciled by Krigstein. He inked the first three pages, and then Toth inked the rest. Page three has got the Krigstein inking with the jagged slashes of brush strokes, the cross-hatching that he put in when he was doing a horror story. In page four directly following it, the inking changes completely and has the broad swoopiness, even patterning, and economy of line that Toth has. I'd guess a deadline loomed, or Krigstein had a fight with an editor or something, and the story got handed over penciled, but with only the first three pages of the inking done.Trevor Mnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-983171239671909762.post-12700922676119554032009-08-15T08:51:31.168-05:002009-08-15T08:51:31.168-05:00THE FIRST PANEL AFTER THE SPLASH ON PAGE ONE IS VE...THE FIRST PANEL AFTER THE SPLASH ON PAGE ONE IS VERY MUCH LIKE KRIGSTEIN.
