The bloodthirsty brides of death continue to invade THOIA this month with another awesome Ace Magazines terror tale, this time fueled by the hand of Ken Rice and from the ominous October 1953 issue of The Hand of Fate #20. There are some really fine, visually frightening moments in this one...
We're still barrelin' along in bridal beast mode here at THOIA, and leave it to legendary Ace Magazines great, Lou Cameron (with an ink assist by Rocco Mastroserio) to concoct this tale of newlyweds and witchcraft with secret bush country head hunter shrinking techniques! Boy, if you thought the supernatural end game motivations of our last story were unfocused and lacked definition, wait'll you get a load of this one! A fine example of Iger Shop art and unintentionally hilarious dialog, as THOIA's February Freak-A-Thon shifts gears a bit again into even more bonkers bridal terror-tory! What better way to celebrate Valentine's Day than by attending a weird wedding! And like our previous post, it too is from the August 1953 issue of Out of the Night #10, with Golden Age great, Art Gates, doing a swell job creating some fast paced, moody, midnight atmosphere. And as we plunge our doomed groom into a cemetery of horror for all eternity, here's hoping every one of you has an equally grave, errr, great holiday!
