Gypsy Goth wrote in asking if I could post The Teller! story from the November 1953 issue of Horrific #8. Apparently, it's the last one from this issue that I haven't archived yet, so here it is-- and it's a Don Heck tale too! It's possible I overlooked it as this story did find it's way into the Horror By Heck (IDW / Yoe Books) collection, and maybe you'll wanna click HERE if you haven't grabbed that particular chilling gem yet. And for the rest of this issue, check the archive for Sewer Horror, Portrait of Death, and Hirschel's Hair. Yes sirree, yet another FULL ISSUE presentation here at THOIA!

Don't Look Behind
Like our last post, it's another spooky Sekowsky / Peppe pair-up from the May 1954 issue of Out of the Shadows #13. And whoa-- with this tale I also do believe it's official-- another FULL ISSUE presentation down the hatch here at THOIA! Check the archives for The Cannibal, and The Recluse as well. Don't! Don't! DON'T MISS 'EM!!! And definitely DON'T click HERE after the story!!!

The Fearful Night
Another terrifically illustrated, Toth-esque team-up from Sekowsky and Peppe, from Pines publications May 1954 issue of Out of the Shadows #13. Seriously, if we've told you once, we've told you 666 times-- don't mess with wicked witches! Cover art (possibly) by George Roussos.

The Frogman
Had a couple more requests for some additional Lin Streeter slickness, and it doesn't get much more slick 'n slimy than this silly swamp creature classic from the May 1954 issue of Forbidden Worlds #29. Thrills, chills, and amphibious adventure await! (Cover art by Ken Bald.)

Revenge
Here's a really spooky kooky one from the April 1954 issue of Mysterious Adventures #19 (to say much of anything else about it might spoil the fun) --highlighted by terrific art from Ross Andru on pencils, and (possibly) Mike Esposito on inks-- plus one seriously hellarious ending! Ahhhh, before digging in, can we just sit here for a spell and stare at that superbly sinister splash? Perfection.

Hot Stuf' House
Found a copy of the black and white anthology comic mag, Hot Stuf' #2 (Winter 1975), at my local shop the other day. It's full of sci-fi / fantasy tales and nude lady art (and just look at that gorgeous Ken Barr cover and Wrightson / Theakston team-up!) plus other random silly fun, and highlighted by 70's artistic big guns like Gray Morrow, Richard Corben, Neal Adams, Bob Keenan etc. Today's post seems to be the only actual horror oriented tale included, but it's pretty good and I'm always a sucker for a spooky tale told by an inanimate object. HAUNTED HORROR #32 IN STORES NOW!
The theme for HAUNTED HORROR #32 (in stores today!) was creeps from the deep, and they certainly don't get much creepier or deepier than this Lin Street(i)er classic, originally presented in the June 1953 issue of Forbidden Worlds #18. Pick up the new HH issue NOW for even more watery precode terror tales from the likes of: George Evans, Gene Colan, Sheldon Moldoff, and King Ward! It's seriously and dreariously our soggiest issue yet! I love making up words!!!
