THOIA returns from vacation (we left the color in Orlando though) with a horrific sci-fi love story reprint as only the Oct. '53 issue of Weird Mysteries #7 could deliver-- art by Vince Fodera-- complete with questionable dialog, plus a panel that caused Wertham to get his panties in a SOTI bunch, SEE: last page, 3rd "sex and blood" panel! So fire-up your retardo-rocket and aim for the planet of wild women!

Hatchet Man / Insane / Night People
THOIA heads off for a much needed vacation (and we're taking the color with us), but we leave you with a beheading black and white Eugene Hughes triple feature! We're not exactly sure where "The Hatchet Man" and "The Night People" originated, (though both were reprinted decades later in Ghoul Tales as well as the Tales too Terrible to Tell series), while "Insane" was originally presented in the July 1954 issue of Weird Chills #1 --rounded out with some saucy vintage ads I've been meaning to use forever. See ya in one week!

Dance of the Doomed
The last THOIA post from the February 1953 issue of Strange Stories from Another World #5 is actually the first story in this issue, blurbed on the tremendous Norm Saunders cover too, and unfortunately for horror comic history, this was also the final issue of this occasionally thrilling, short lived series from Fawcett Pub. For all the tales in this one see the last 3 posts, as well as Vampire's Daughter that we posted last year.

The Flaming Witness
Karl Malden stars in this sizzling supernatural thriller of vengeance from beyond the ladle, from the February 1953 issue of Strange Stories from Another World #5. Flame on!

The Rain, The Deadly Rain!
Seemed like everyone had such a great time with that last full Fawcett Publications issue, I thought, what the heck, how about another? In fact, how about the freaky February 1953 issue of Strange Stories from Another World #5? We've already got "Vampire's Daughter" in the can (click HERE for it), and today things get extra soggy and saturated with our first of two stories concerning vengeful Earth elements (we'll see what fire has to say in our next post!)
