Black Magic

Tonight on TCM, Orson Welles stars as Count Cagliostro, an 18th century gypsy who masters hypnotism to avenge his parent’s murder. Black Magic (1949) is an incredible mystery classic (and still not available on DVD) so check it out, but it’s on super late late so set your recorder.

Interested in a really far-out adventure of The Count? Check out the Jan-Feb 1950 issue of Superman #62, where Orson Welles himself teams up with Supes to help stop an evil Martian invasion of Earth! And while this was actually just a clever cross-over promotion for the Black Magic movie, it also marked the first time that Superman ever visited Mars!

PLUS! The Hairy Green Eyeball has 2 Bill Everett VENUS classics on display today, check them out HERE!

It's ALL CAPS vs no caps today on this post, ha ha... but yeah, great film and a good issue of Superman too. Yes people, Karswell reads the hero stuff as well.

Hate me hate me.
