Icons of Horror: Hammer (DVD NEWS)

DVD Drive-In just announced that on October 14th, Sony Home Entertainment will release “ICONS OF HORROR: Hammer Films” which will contain The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll (’60), The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb (’64), Taste of Fear (’61), and The Gorgon (’64), all containing newly remastered transfers plus the usual assortment of commentaries, trailers, and supplements, retail $24.96.

"The Gorgon" and "Curse of the Mummy's Tomb" are two I have never seen and wanted to. The other two films will be icing on the bloody cake!

Seems The Gorgon overall is the one everybody's been waiting for. I wish someone would blow the lid off some of the old non-Corman Anglo-Amalgamated horror flicks like Burn Witch Burn, Unearthly Stranger, House of Mystery, Invasion '65, etc with official DVD releases someday. Maybe I should do a post about it with a petition?

Having already gotten Warner Bros.' and Universal's excellent Hammer box sets, I will most definitely be picking this up, especially for Jeckyll and Hyde.
