They really have no idea how to make movie trailers anymore. This one though is a perfect example of why some film trailers remain as timeless as the film itself.

I agree, the art of the trailer is so lost on modern studios these days... they'd rather show you all the good parts from their shitty film in the preview than let you discover the good stuff in the actual movie.

It's hard for me to pick my favorite of the Corman / Poe films, but this one is right up there in the top 3 for sure.

I agree it is hard to pick a favorite, but I am partial to The Tomb of Ligeia. It might be the glasses.

My 3 favorite AIP Poes: 1)THE RAVEN:funny, witty and the best team up between the boys(Vince,Pete & Boris, with Jack Nicholson & Hazel Court along for the ride.)unlike the silly and random COMEDY OF TERRORS. 2)PIT & THE PENDULUM:genuinely creepy and suspenseful in it's buildup,as in THE MAD MAGICIAN,Price is hardly the villain here.also my introduction to Barbara Steele. 3)HOUSE OF USHER:scariest of the series, the paintings give me the creeps to this day.

My top 3 are probably the same as your top 3 HP... but I really love Tales of Terror too though. It's a tough top 3 to finalize.

Usher is definitely #1 on my list though.
