Frankenhooker (DVD NEWS)

For you adventurous types with non-discriminating tastes in kooky horror / comedies, Frankenhooker comes to DVD today in a “Special Edition” version. It’s not my favorite Frank Henenlotter film (that would be Basket Case ‘82), but this is still very worthy of a rent if you haven’t seen it. A med school doofus loses his fiancé in a lawnmower mishap and after saving only her head begins luring prostitutes to their doom so he can obtain the body parts to rebuild her. And that’s just the beginning!

NOT SURE IF I'VE SEEN THIS ONE, I LOVE THE BASKET CASE MOVIES THOUGH........DIDN'T REALIZE IT WAS THE SAME DIRECTOR. THE TRAILER LOOKS GREAT!

Henelotter directed Brain Damage too, another great movie.

Brain Damage is great. Something weird about Henelotter that I didn't know:

Frank Henenlotter has been responsible for rescuing and reissuing an enormous volume of vintage 60s and 70s horror, soft-core and exploitation movies on VHS and DVD alike for Something Weird Video (Sexy Shockers From The Underground); he has also served as an extremely funny, lively and entertaining moderator on numerous DVD commentaries for Something Weird Video.
