METROPOLIS MAY VERY WELL BE THE VERY FIRST FOREIGN FILM I EVER SAW IN MY LIFE. AND M IS SO GREAT TOO. THATS AN AWESOME PICTURE OF HIM.

ON THE OPPOSITE END OF THE SPECTRUM TODAY IS ALSO WALT DISNEYS BIRTHDAY!

his noir films are mind blowing! scarlet street, woman in the window.......secret beyond the door is my favorite though, i just love the idea of someone who collects rooms where famous murders have happened.

Wow, Disney, Preminger and Lang all on the same day! Weird. Even weirder would be imagining what kind of movie they could have made had they all worked together lol.

I still haven't seen M. I like Peter Lorre a lot, so I'm sure I'd love it.

Someone commented on Secret Beyond the Door, that's one of my favorites too, along with Ministry of Fear and 1000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse. And let's not forget Man Hunt! If this was based on a true story it's fun to imagine how WW2 would have turned out if only the guy had pulled the trigger on Hitler.
