i saw this years ago but watching the trailer again i didn't remember it having stop motion animation.... guess ill watch it again

I liked it,but have to say it's one of his lesser efforts,though still a welcome variation on the "any means necessary to restore disfigured daughter/wife/girlfriend" subgenre.
Bava only produced this film... if he had directed it I'm sure it would have been much much better. Still, it is alot of fun and whacked-out sleazy at the same time, and definitely one of the better mad scientist films of the 60's.
mario also directed Torso (il corpo .... etc), one of the better giallos.
at least i liked it :)
